Doctor of Medicine (MD)

Program Overview

 

Our six-year MD program combines biomedical science, early and longitudinal clinical exposure, applied research opportunities, and community-oriented training. The curriculum is outcome and competency-based, preparing future physicians for safe, ethical, and effective practice in a variety of settings from hospital wards to community health clinics.

 

Education is delivered using modern pedagogical methods including system-based integration, case-based learning, simulation training, clinical placements, and research immersion.

 

Program Structure

 

The MD program is divided into three stages

 

Stage 1 (Years 1–2): Focus on fundementals of biomedical sciences, communication skills, medical ethics and professionalism, and fundemental introduction to patient-centred care.

 

Stage 2 (Years 3–4): System-based integration of basic and clinical sciences, early clinical exposure, primary health care placements, and community health engagement.

 

Stage 3 (Years 5–6): Hospital and community-based clinical rotations, simulared patient care, specialty exposures, and preparation for clinical practice.
