Abdullah Al Salem University, represented by the Deanship of Student Affairs, organized the Second University Table Tennis Championship on Tuesday, October 20, 2026, at the Sports Activities Building on the Khaldiya campus. The event was attended by the Dean of Student Affairs, Dr. Abdulaziz Al-Haddab, and featured the participation of a number of University students.

The championship was held in two sessions, with the first dedicated to female students and the second to male students. The competition featured exciting matches that reflected a spirit of challenge and positive competition, highlighting the importance of sports in promoting physical activity and fostering healthy habits among University students.
Dr. Abdulaziz Al-Haddab emphasized the importance of continuing to engage in sports beyond university life. He noted that university students have a role that extends to serving the community and raising health awareness. University sports, he explained, provide an effective means of encouraging community members to adopt active lifestyles, particularly in light of the rising rates of obesity and diabetes in Kuwait. Such efforts contribute to disease prevention and help establish sports as a way of life.
The championship was organized as part of Abdullah Al Salem University’s commitment to supporting sports activities, fostering interaction among students, developing their physical and social skills, and promoting a culture that embraces sports as a way of life. It also reflects the University’s dedication to expanding its community impact by preparing students to contribute to health awareness initiatives and actively participate in building a healthier, more active society.
