The Acting Dean of Admissions and Registration at Abdullah Al Salem University Dr. Ahmed Tarek Al Mutawa, announced the completion of the admission process for Kuwaiti high school graduates who met the University's admission requirements for the first semester of the 2026/2027 academic year.
Dr. Al Mutawa stated that 1,146 students were admitted across the University's colleges and academic programs. He emphasized that admissions were conducted in accordance with the University's approved academic regulations and admission criteria, while taking into account the available capacity of each college and academic program.
He explained that applicants can view their admission results and assigned academic programs through the email address provided in their application or via the Sahel application. He also encouraged admitted students to regularly check their email, the University's official website, and its official social media accounts for updates regarding admission confirmation and registration procedures.
Dr. Al Mutawa noted that all applicants were considered through a unified selection process based on the highest equivalent scores, while also taking into account each applicant's program preferences and the number of available seats in each academic program. He stressed that meeting the minimum admission requirements does not guarantee admission to a specific program, as admission remains competitive and subject to program capacity.
He further explained that the equivalent score is calculated according to the approved criteria for each college or academic program, based on the applicant's high school percentage and the required academic test results. For the Medicine program, the equivalent score also includes the applicant's performance in the English and Mathematics entrance examinations, in addition to the Multiple Mini Interview (MMI).
Dr. Al Mutawa urged admitted students to adhere to all announced deadlines and instructions and to complete the required admission procedures within the specified periods. He noted that failure to confirm admission or complete registration on time may result in cancellation of the admission offer in accordance with the University's regulations.
He concluded by congratulating the newly admitted students and their families, wishing them a successful and rewarding university experience. He encouraged them to take full advantage of the University's academic, research, and extracurricular opportunities while striving for academic excellence, professional growth, and meaningful contributions to the development of Kuwait.
