Abdullah Al Salem University organized an orientation session for the third intake of students admitted to its graduate programs on Thursday, September 17, 2026, at the University’s Khaldiya Campus, in the presence of Vice President for Scientific Research and Graduate Studies Dr. Mohammed Najem Al-Najem, along with a number of academic staff members.

The orientation reflects the University’s commitment to preparing newly admitted students for the start of their academic journey and familiarizing them with graduate studies regulations and policies, program requirements, and the academic and research services available to them, contributing to an enriching and distinguished educational experience.

During the orientation, Assistant Vice President for Scientific Research and Graduate Studies Dr. Mohammed Omran welcomed the newly admitted students and congratulated them on joining the University’s third intake of graduate students.

He emphasized that, since its establishment, Abdullah Al-Salem University has sought to develop highly qualified national talent capable of contributing to Kuwait’s development through high-quality academic programs that respond to labor market needs and align with the objectives of Kuwait Vision 2035. He further noted that the University’s mission is centered on supporting national innovation and advancing education, research, and creativity to contribute to sustainable development in the region.

Dr. Omran added that the Graduate Studies Sector aspires to achieve global leadership in education and scientific research and is committed to offering high-quality graduate programs that promote interdisciplinary research.

Dr. Omran also reviewed the programs offered by the sector across the College of Business and Entrepreneurship, the College of Engineering and Energy, and the College of Computing Systems and Engineering. These include programs in Cybersecurity Engineering, Data Science and Artificial Intelligence, Energy Systems Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, and Financial Technology and Risk Management. He also highlighted programs planned for future launch at the College of Medicine and Health Sciences in the fields of Public Health, Bioinformatics, and Health Informatics.

The orientation included a comprehensive presentation on the academic structure of the programs, study plans and graduation requirements, the grading system, and standards for preparing graduate theses. It also addressed academic policies related to attendance and academic integrity, scholarships and research assistantship opportunities, and the academic calendar. Students were also given the opportunity to raise questions and engage directly with relevant specialists.

The orientation concluded with separate guidance sessions for students within their respective colleges, emphasizing the importance of maintaining ongoing communication with officials at both the college and sector levels to address any questions or inquiries.
