Abdullah Al-Salem University Welcomes Students at the Start of the 2026/2027 Academic Year

Classes at Abdullah Al Salem University commence on Sunday for the 2026/2027 academic year, as the University welcomes students across its various colleges amid an atmosphere of enthusiasm and optimism, supported by comprehensive academic and administrative preparations marking the beginning of a new academic year.

A total of 2,725 undergraduate students are enrolled at the University this year, comprising both continuing and newly admitted students who are either progressing in their university studies or taking their first steps in their academic journey at the College of Engineering and Energy, the College of Computing and Systems Engineering, the College of Business and Entrepreneurship, and the College of Medicine and Health Sciences. The University also has 154 master’s students enrolled in its graduate programs.

This academic year marks a significant milestone in the University’s journey, as the College of Medicine and Health Sciences begins teaching for the first time and welcomes its first class of students. This step reflects the University’s commitment to expanding into specialized academic fields that meet the needs of the State of Kuwait and contribute to preparing qualified national professionals for the healthcare sector. The University affirmed that the launch of the College forms part of its ongoing efforts to advance medical education and keep pace with rapid developments in medical science and technology.

On this occasion, the University community extends its sincere congratulations to its students on the start of the 2026/2027 academic year, warmly welcoming them and wishing everyone a year filled with excellence, achievement, and opportunities that enrich both their academic and personal development.

The University also expresses its pride in the launch of the College of Medicine and Health Sciences and in welcoming its first class of students. In preparation for welcoming its first students, the University had previously approved the comprehensive academic framework for the Doctor of Medicine (MD) program, encompassing all stages of the program.

The University encourages its students to make full use of its modern learning environment, advanced academic programs, and diverse student activities, as well as the initiatives and services provided by its various sectors. Students are also encouraged to engage with faculty members, academic advisors, and relevant University departments to address their needs and support their academic success.
