Specialized research centres represent a fundamental pillar of the university’s mission to serve both the community and the state by generating applied knowledge, supporting public policies, and developing innovative solutions to address national and regional challenges. Our research centres operate in harmony with the university’s vision and national development strategies, aiming to harness scientific and technological resources toward a sustainable, competitive knowledge-based economy. These and other centres across the university function as an interconnected network, supporting the university's and the country's shared vision of an innovative and sustainable knowledge society through applied research, technology transfer, and training national talent capable of addressing present-day challenges and creating future opportunities.

Resources, Energy and Sustainability Research Centre

This centre focuses on research in clean energy, energy consumption efficiency, natural resource management, and sustainability solutions that ensure the nation’s energy and resource security. The centre aims to develop commercially viable technologies and support informed decision-making through environmental and economic impact studies, as well as collaborative programs with the industrial sector and government agencies.

Data Science and Artificial Intelligence Research Centre

This centre works on transforming data into practical knowledge value through machine learning, predictive analytics, and natural language processing. It contributes to improving government and industrial services through smart solutions in health, transportation, energy, and education, while also building research and educational capacities in artificial intelligence.

Cybersecurity and Digital Transformation Research Centre

The centre conducts advanced research in protecting digital infrastructure, network security, data privacy, and cyber incident response. It aims to enhance the readiness of national institutions by training specialists, developing threat detection and prevention tools, and providing technical consultancy to public and private sectors.
