ABOUT AASU
English-Medium, Public University, Based in Kuwait
Abdullah Al Salem University (AASU) offers world-class degree programs in various disciplines. Established through an Amiri decree in 2019, AASU consists of three colleges and ten research centers.
AASU is named to honor the memory of His Highness Sheikh Abdullah Al Salem. The late Amir who is widely hailed as the founding father of modern Kuwait, continues to inspire intellectuals and educationists pursuing New Kuwait (Kuwait's Vision 2035).
After assuming the responsibilities to lead Kuwait in February 1950, His Highness Sheikh Abdullah Al Salem had taken a keen interest in developing the education sector in Kuwait. He modernized schools and established specialized centers for training of teachers as well as education of those suffering from disabilities. Public libraries were also setup all over Kuwait.

To be an institution of choice that will contribute to socioeconomic development of Kuwait by promoting innovation in education, world-class research, creativity, and entrepreneurship.
MISSION
To establish strong and balanced academic, research, and outreach programs, that contribute to the development and advancement of Kuwait and the region.
