Background

Abdullah Al Salem University (AASU) is a newly established English-medium public university in Kuwait. AASU is looking for experienced candidates to fill administrative and technical positions in the Purchasing and Stores Department.

Hiring priority was for Kuwaiti nationals.

Specific Requirements of Position

  • University degree in a related discipline with a general rating of Very Good or higher.
  • Experience in using financial applications (Oracle Financials). 
  • Experience of government tendering and auction procedures is required. ﾠ
  • Knowledge of government procurement procedures and documentation is preferred. ﾠ

General Requirements of Department

  • Academic qualification with a general rating of Good or higher from Kuwait University, Public Authority for Applied Education and Training or any institution accredited by the Ministry of Higher Education.
  • Age should preferably not exceed 45 years.
  • Kuwaiti nationals, who are subject to the provisions of Law (20) of 2015 regarding national military service, must submit a certificate of performance of active service, or postponement, exception or exemption as applicable.
  • Minimum score of 85% in the oral assessment.
  • Professional proficiency in Arabic and English.ﾠ

  • Scanned copy of equivalency certificates from the Ministry of Higher Education in Kuwait for degrees obtained from an institution other than Kuwait University or Public Authority for Applied Education and Training (authenticated copies needed if application is successful).
  • Signed and authenticated copies of experience letters. 
  • Scanned copy of recent registration certificate from Public Institution for Social Security (PIFSS).
