Background

Abdullah Al Salem University (AASU) is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Strategic Planning Specialist to join our Strategic Planning Section. The ideal candidate will play a imperative role in shaping the future direction of our university by developing, implementing, and managing strategic plans that align with our long-term goals and mission.

Hiring priority was for Kuwaiti nationals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Develop and execute comprehensive strategic plans to advance the university’s mission and goals.
• Analyze internal and external data to inform strategic decision-making.
• Collaborate with various departments to ensure alignment with the university’s strategic objectives.
• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of implemented strategies, adjusting as necessary.
• Prepare detailed reports and presentations for senior management and stakeholders.
• Facilitate strategic planning meetings and workshops.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and innovative approaches to achieve strategic goals.   
    

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, operation management, industrial engineering, or any related field.
• Proven experience in strategic planning, preferably within an academic or educational institution.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively and effectively with diverse teams.
• Proficiency in strategic planning tools and software.
• Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
